International Distribution Partners
Country-specific requirements for the "ideal horseshoe"
Every country has different requirements for the optimal hoof protection. Therefore, it is important for our customers to have international selling points and competent local contacts. The specialist retailers in each country are generally well-versed in the specific challenges of hoof protection in their region and can advise farriers and riders in their mother language.
Our Swiss representative enjoys a relaxing carriage ride through the Swiss countryside. Carriage horses, in particular, have special demands for their horseshoes.
The rocky terrain in places like Arizona, USA, presents specific challenges for horseshoes to ensure that horses can cope well on the rough paths.
Caro Lucas, our representative for Canada, sees significant advantages in shock absorption and the reduced risk of sparks during ranch work, especially in the extreme dryness of the summer.
In many countries, extreme winter conditions with ice and snow are common. In such cases, good protection against snowballing and sufficient grip are crucial.
Our world map — Alternative hoof protection worldwide
The development of our horseshoes began over 20 years ago in Grainet, a small township in the Bavarian Forest of Germany. From here, our horseshoes now travel far and wide.
Although we have not yet reached every corner of the globe, we are thrilled to see that horses in New Zealand are now using our horseshoes. While we have made occasional deliveries to countries like India and Japan in the past, we only highlight a country in yellow on our map once we establish regular shipments there. Help us expand our map further—if you live in a country we do not yet actively serve, please reach out to our customer service team.

Wondering where to buy our alternative horseshoes?
You can purchase our horseshoes and accessories not only directly through our online shop; we have also collaborated with distributors both in Germany and internationally for many years. Some of these partners operate exclusively online, while others have local stores.
Since the development of our horseshoes in the 1990s, our products have made their way to many countries worldwide.
If your country is not listed yet, help us fill the world map. Our customer service team will gladly assist you with your first order.
In the countries marked in green, we work with long-standing partners who handle all orders locally. These countries do not receive direct shipments from Germany. Please contact our local partners for orders in Switzerland, France, and Canada.
In the countries marked in orange, we have already found distribution partners. As a customer, you can therefore place orders with a local contact. By clicking on the respective country, you can download the contact details of our international distribution partners.
If you are a retailer in one of these countries, do not hesitate to contact our team. Even in our home market Germany we see that multiple distribution partners can be successful with our product.
- Arab Emirates
The Arab Emirates is still a small market for us, and we currently do not have a local distributor. For individual consultations, please feel free to contact our team in Germany.
- Australia
The demand for our hoof protection products for horses in Australia is increasing annually. We have yet to identify a bestseller for Australia; several models, from the open-toe shoe to the Arizona, have already been sent there. Unfortunately, we have not yet found a local distributor.
- Austria
In Austria, the requirements for the ideal hoof protection are similar to those in Germany. However, if you are planning an alpine ride, we recommend our special model, the Arizona, which was specifically developed for the demands of rocky terrain. We already have distributors in Austria.
Contact - BahrainWe do not yet deliver regularly to Bahrain, as we have not found a local distributor. For shipments to Bahrain, please contact our customer service.
- Belgium
In Belgium, our standard plastic mix is very popular. Many customers appreciate our clipped “all-season shoe”. We already have distributors in this country. Contact details are available for download.
Contact - Bulgaria In Bulgaria, customers prefer our slightly harder Extra shoes. Unfortunately, we have not yet found a distribution partner. If you are a retailer of hoof care products or horse supplies, we would be delighted if you were interested in a partnership.
- Canada
The ideal hoof protection depends on factors like the country’s climate, soil conditions, and how the horse is used. In Canada, the requirements for the perfect horseshoe are very diverse. For example, in a rodeo, especially during barrel racing, a shoe that provides shock absorption and grip in tight turns is essential. On a ranch, a deeper tread is beneficial, while in a feedlot , the horse needs excellent traction. To ensure we can quickly provide the right horseshoe for all Canadian horses, we have an experienced representative, Caro Lucas, on-site. Please contact her directly to place your order.
Contact - Croatia
In Croatia, an alternative horseshoe with a plastic coating must withstand extreme summer temperatures. For this reason, our customers in Croatia, as in many other southern countries, prefer to order the slightly harder Extra mix.
- Czech Republic
In the Czech Republic, we have found a good distribution partner in Plastové podkovy, who can also advise you in Czech language. The somewhat harder Extra composite horseshoes with clips and profile are very popular with our customers in the Czech Republic.
Contact - Denmark
In Denmark, the shoe with clips and profile is the best-selling model. More than half of the shoes we deliver to the country are made from the slightly harder Extra plastic mix. We already have distributors in this country. Contact details are available for download.
Contact - Estonia
- Finland
During winter, the ground can become extremely slippery, making ice and snow particularly challenging for hoof protection in these regions. Horseshoes with threaded holes and an integrated synthetic lip, similar to a Snowgrip® on traditional shoes, are crucial. In Finland, standard models like the Jumper and clipped horseshoes with threaded holes are highly popular during the winter season. If your horse wears conventional horseshoes, consider our accessory products, such as screw-in studs (Speedies) and closure plugs for sealing the threaded holes. We already have distributors in Finland, and contact details are available for download.
Contact - France
For orders to France, please contact Maréchalerie W. Reiss, our local representative.
Contact - Germany
Our home market is, of course, still our most important market; the demand is accordingly diverse. However, our bestseller remains the clipped horseshoe — with or without deeper profile, depending on the need. Among our adhesive products, the Wolf Busch® glue-on tabs are the best sellers.
Contact - Greece
- Hungary
In Hungary, you have a contact person in Zoltán Fábian, who has also been active as a farrier for several years.

- Iceland
Although Iceland is known for its many horses, it is still a small market for us. While many Icelandic horses are already shoed with composite shoes, they are usually done so in other countries. However, we do have Franziska Kopf as a local contact for you in Iceland.
Contact - India
Years ago, we delivered our composite shoes to India. If you are from India, please contact us, as there are some customs formalities to consider when shipping to India.
- Ireland
- Italy
In southern countries like Italy, where temperatures can get very high in summer, our Extra shoes are very popular. The Extra with clips and deeper profile is one of our bestsellers in Italy. We already have distributors in Italy. Contact details are available for download.
Contact - Japan
The first and unfortunately the last shipment to Japan was a few years ago. If you are from Japan and are interested in our products, please contact our customer service.
- Lanzarote
- Latvia
In Latvia, as in many other countries with a more temperate climate, our standard shoes with side clips and tread are popular, both as nailed and glued hoof protection.
- Lithuania
Not many hooves in Lithuania are yet shoed with our horseshoes. We would be happy if you would help us change that. If you are interested in a partnership as a distributor, please feel free to contact our team.
- Luxembourg
- Mallorca
- Malta
- Netherlands
The Netherlands is an important neighbouring market for us. Due to the temperate climate, our customers in the Netherlands order both variants of our composite horseshoes — the slightly softer Standard mix and the slightly harder Extra mix. You can download the contact details of our current distributors with a click.
Contact - New Zealand
We are delighted that our composite shoes have also been sent to New Zealand. Unfortunately, delivery to New Zealand takes a long time. We want to support you as best as possible with your order to ensure you get the right hoof protection for your horse. Please feel free to contact our team for individual consultation — unfortunately, we have not yet found a local distributor in New Zealand.
- Polend
In Poland, our Basic shoe with side clips and deeper profile is popular. A large portion of the horseshoes is purchased in the harder Extra mix, which is especially favoured during higher temperatures.
Contact - Portugal
In southern European countries, hoof protection must withstand extreme temperatures. In Portugal, our customers appreciate the slightly harder Extra plastic mix, which remains particularly abrasion-resistant even at higher temperatures.
- Romania
- Slovakia
Our alternative horseshoes are not yet widely used in Slovakia, so it is too early to identify a bestseller in this region. For personalized advice, please reach out to our team. If you are a retailer in Slovakia, we would be thrilled if you would consider collaborating with us as a distribution partner.
- Slowenien
- Spain
Due to the often extremely hot temperatures in Spain during the summer, hoof protection needs to be especially resistant to wear. Our customers in Spain, therefore, prefer horseshoes made from the harder Extra synthetic mix, particularly in the summer. The contact details are available for download here.
Contact - Sweden
In Scandinavian countries, horses require extra traction for their horseshoes during the cold season. The use of studs and spikes, along with effective protection against the dangerous snowballing under the horseshoe, is essential. In Sweden, during winter, the Jumper and the clipped standard horseshoe with threaded inserts for anti-skid studs are particularly popular. If your horse is fitted with traditional horseshoes, our range of horseshoe accessories, such as screw-in studs, closure plugs, and protective insoles, might have what you need. The contact details of our distribution partners in Sweden are available for download.
Contact - Switzerland
We work together with Patrik Brunner and Linda Amacher, the Brunner Hufbeschlag team, to ensure a good support in Switzerland. For you as a Swiss customer, this means fewer customs formalities, faster delivery and local advice.
Contact - Teneriffa
- United Kingdom
Our alternative hoof protection with shock-absorbing plastic coating is also popular in the UK. In addition to our regular composite horseshoes with a metal core, the Classic, our pure plastic horseshoe, has also found its fans among our customers there. Unfortunately, we do not yet have a local distribution partner for you in the United Kingdom.
- Uruguay
Shock-absorbing hoof protection for horses in Uruguay - we were delighted to receive the first order from South America. If you also live in South America and are interested in alternative hoof protection for your horse, please contact us. We will be happy to help you with your order. Unfortunately, we do not yet have a local distribution partner in this country.
- USA
The USA is incredibly diverse in terms of climate and landscape, so the ideal horseshoe for American horses varies significantly depending on the state and the riding discipline. For example, at a rodeo, roping requires a horseshoe that provides excellent shock absorption and optimal grip. On long rides, such as those in Arizona or Monument Valley, hoof protection needs to be highly durable, with a minimized risk of the horse losing a shoe, especially over extended distances. To ensure we can quickly provide the right hoof protection for all American horses, we collaborate with a dedicated distribution partner in Colorado.
