Important Safety Information for Our Horseshoes

Preface to Our Safety Information for the Application and Daily Use of our Products

Whether you are a farrier / hoof care professional / vet or a rider, your safety and the well-being of your (clients') horses have always been a priority for us. This is why we introduced our safety flyer several years ago, which many of you have likely seen before.

On December 13, 2024, the EU's General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) will come into effect. The GPSR includes important requirements for the safety of consumer products sold in the EU. We have taken this legal change as an opportunity to comprehensively expand our safety instructions.

Please don't be alarmed if our safety information now resembles a package insert with "risks and side effects". Since hoof care involves a very specific field and always includes the factor of horses or herds, there are several considerations to keep in mind. Most of these are already well understood by responsible hoof care professionals, horse owners, or riders. However, as a manufacturer, it is our duty to provide you with comprehensive information.

In addition to this obligation to inform, it is necessary for us to include these safety instructions with every product. A solution using only a QR code is unfortunately not feasible. We appreciate your understanding that, for environmental reasons, we will print our "package insert" in a smaller font size. For a more readable version, our online edition is always available.
