If you work with plastic horseshoes, sooner or later it will find its way into your tool cabinet: the hot-air tool, also known as hot-air gun.
The areas of application for the hot air tool are many, including the following:
- if you want to plastic weld a composite or purely plastic horseshoe with glue-on tabs
- if you want to modify a horseshoe with open sole area, with the help of a plastic or grid plate into a horseshoe with closed sole area
- if you want to laterally enlarge a horseshoe or extend it to the back with the help of our Extensions
- for punctual fixation when using wedge plates
- if you want to decorate your purely plastic or composite horseshoe with our colored stripes
The Steinel HL 1920 E hot air tool offers precise control of the temperature and air volume to provide optimum welding conditions.
Thanks to its powerful heating capacity, the HL 1920 E can quickly reach a high temperature which is required to melt plastic parts to create a stable bond.
Precise control of the temperature is particularly important to ensure that the plastic parts are not damaged or burned. When it comes to controlling the hot air flow, the matching reducing nozzle is essential. You can also buy it from us.

For the plastic welding work to produce stable welding seams for your glue-on horseshoe, we have developed our welding devices.
The welding devices are being delivered with the reduction nozzle that matches the Steinel HL 1920 E.
The hot air tool itself is not included in the scope of delivery for the welding devices and must be purchased separately.
