Our Grip Sets — Equipment for Your Threaded Horseshoes
If you've opted for a threaded composite horseshoe for improved grip, you'll naturally need the corresponding equipment. With our grip sets, we aim to make your life a little easier and help you save time and money on your purchases.
We have prepared two different sizes of grip sets for you: type 1, which can also be used as a 'refill set', and type 2, which not only includes the grip equipment but also the necessary tools.
Both sets are available in M or L versions, depending on whether the grip set contains the small M spikes or the slightly larger L spikes.
The grip sets are suitable for horseshoes with threaded inserts in the synthetic bar. Please note that the larger L spikes are not suitable for the toe area of the STS shoes.

Grip Set — Type 1
The small grip set is intended for those who already have the necessary tools for applying the equipment.
Contents of Grip Set Type 1
- 20 pieces of M8 closure plugs to protect the threaded inserts until the permanent use of the studs
- 10 pieces of 4mm M8 anti-skid studs for the threaded inserts in the synthetic bar
- 10 spikes that can be screwed into the synthetic coating of the horseshoe for additional grip

Grip Set Type 2
The comprehensive grip set includes not only the accessories but also the necessary tools. Therefore, it is suitable for anyone who needs a complete setup for the entire grip equipment.
Contents of Grip Set Type 2
- contents of grip set type 1 (with M or L spikes depending on item number)
- 1 bottle of screw lock adhesive (10g) to further secure the studs for permanent use
- 1 hex key bit (10mm width / M8 thread size), suitable for our 4mm and 6mm anti-skid studs with disc
- 1 thread cleaner bit (M8) for cleaning the threaded inserts in case of any dirt located in the threads before permanently applying the studs
- 1 bit holder, suitable for both bit inserts included in the grip set
- 1 spike adapter for screwing the spikes into the synthetic coating of the composite horseshoes

Stud Installation on the Composite Horseshoe — Video
Even though the grip sets do not include metal closure plugs, we still want to provide you with the video for stud application at this point.
The synthetic closure plugs included in the grip sets can be easily removed with a pointed object such as a pair of needle-nose pliers or a slotted screwdriver.
