EURO-LOCK® Threadlocker — for securing screw-in studs
EURO-LOCK® promotes cost savings by securing screws with anaerobic adhesive. The EURO-LOCK® Threadlocker offers maximum safety and reliability for high-stress threaded connections. It is used wherever threaded joints must be reliably secured against vibrations and impacts. This also applies to our studs: even though screw-in studs usually hold well in the threaded insert, you never know what might happen on the hoof during the shoeing period. So if you want to play it safe, use a threadlocker.
Don’t be surprised if your delivery comes with a REIDL label on the bottle. Our supplier has confirmed that this is the trusted EURO-LOCK® Screw Retention, marketed under a private label.
Application and Safety Instructions for Using the Screw Retention

You will also find the safety data sheet from EURO-LOCK® available for download. When working with threadlocker, it’s important to follow key safety guidelines. Threadlocker may also irritate the respiratory system, eyes, and skin. Ensure adequate ventilation and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment .
Using Screw Retention to Secure Studs in Threaded Horseshoes
If you’ve decided that the studs should remain permanently in the horseshoes, apply a drop of threadlocker to the threads before screwing the studs in.
When using studs in our composite horseshoes, please follow the specific guidelines for each model and type of stud regarding the recommended stud height, depending on ground conditions and type of horseshoe. If in doubt, our customer service team will be happy to advise you.

First Aid Measures
- General information: In case of accident or discomfort, seek medical advice immediately.
- After inhalation: Move the affected person to fresh air and keep them calm. In case of respiratory irritation, consult a doctor.
- After skin contact: Wash gently with plenty of water and soap. In case of skin irritation, consult a doctor.
- After eye contact: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If symptoms occur or persist, consult an eye specialist.
- After swallowing: Rinse mouth thoroughly with water. Have the person drink plenty of water in small sips (dilution effect). DO NOT induce vomiting. If symptoms occur or if in doubt, seek medical advice.
