product description

File Brush for Cleaning Dirty Hoof Rasps

Depending on the tooth pattern , weather conditions, and horn quality, rasps unfortunately often get clogged . This makes barefoot treatment more difficult and wastes valuable time. Of course, there always comes a point when a rasp needs to be replaced with a new one, but proper maintenance can extend the lifespan of the rasp. Cleaning the hoof rasp is an essential part of this maintenance.

For dirty or even clogged tooth patterns, we recommend the file brush from Lessmann. Thanks to its durable steel bristles, the file brush enables quick and efficient cleaning of the hoof rasp.

  • Position the file brush so that the bristles can "catch" in the cross grooves of the hoof rasp and remove dirt or firmly lodged hoof material.
  • Make sure to brush in the correct direction and do not brush back and forth.
