Our Glue-on Starter Sets – All You Need to Begin with Glued Hoof Protection
You want to glue-on a plastic or composite horseshoes instead of nailing it, but you don't have the necessary equipment yet? Then our Glue-on Starter Sets are just right for you. Depending on whether you want to glue your own horse in collaboration with a farrier or if you, as a farrier, want to incorporate gluing into your services, we have put together various starter sets for you.
Please make sure to review the product descriptions of each set item for application and safety instructions.
For plastic welding, we recommend the Steinel HL 1920 E hot air gun. The appropriate reduction nozzle for this hot-air gun is already included in the delivery of the M and L Starter Sets.
Glue-on Starter Set – Size S
The smallest Glue-on Starter Set, Size S, is our basic package. It is primarily designed for riders and horse owners who have their horse trimmed by a farrier and then want to do the gluing themselves.
It contains:
- Megafoam - a hoof cleaner for degreasing the hoof and the horseshoe.
- An abrasive block with a Grit of 80 for roughening the hoof wall .
- A bottle of 'Blitzschnell' instant glue.
- Depending on the season, a bottle of 'winter glue' (October to April) or 'summer glue' (May to September).
Glue-on Starter Set – Size M
The Starter Set Size M includes our welding device 'Mini' and is designed for all farriers who regularly glue-on horseshoes or horse owners who apply adhesive themselves and have multiple horses.
It contains:
- The contents of the Starter Set in size S as well as
- the 'Mini' welding device, which includes a reduction nozzle in its package.
Glue-on Starter Set – Size L
The extensive Glue-on Starter Set in size L is our professional set. It is designed for farriers
who regularly glue-on horseshoes and want to be as flexible as possible in their work. The
'Standard'
welding device can be easily mounted on an anvil
or hoof stand, providing you with maximum
flexibility and comfort.
To allow you to practice your welding technique and become familiar with
the device at your own pace, we also include a welding practice kit.
The set contains:
- The contents of the Starter Set in size S as well as
- the 'Mini' welding device, which includes a reducing nozzle in its package and
- a welding practice kit, containing 8 horseshoe dummies and glue-on collars.

Glue-on Tabs and Baseplates
In order to glue-on a horseshoe, you naturally need the corresponding glue-on tabs / collars and the appropriate base plate next to the equipment of our Starter Sets.
We consciously decided not to include these products in the Starter Sets because we do not want to limit your choice of the appropriate glue-on system (Pro / Easy collar or Wolf Busch® tabs) and the ideal horseshoe (i.e., the base plate). Our range is extensive for a good reason, as each horse or hoof situation has different needs.
