Stop the Waste! - 'Factory Seconds' of the Wolf Busch® Glue-on Tabs
Many are familiar with the app 'Too Good To Go', designed to save food. We would like to adopt this principle because during the production of our popular glue-on tabs, it occasionally happens that products are not quite top-tier but still fully functional. These 'factory seconds', also known as 'second choice products', have so far always been discarded—a complete waste, as they would perform just as well on the hoof as the first-choice products.
From now on, we will offer these glue-on tabs with minor flaws under this item number at a reduced price.

- that factory seconds are excluded from the right of return
- that the delivery of factory seconds is only possible within the EU
- that the availability of factory seconds cannot be guaranteed; available as long as stock lasts
Random Color Sorting
The products are sorted by size and hardness of the synthethic material but not by color. This means it is entirely random which color you will receive. We also cannot guarantee that all tabs will be the same color. While we always aim to deliver pairs of the same color, it is possible, for example, that the left tab is blue, and the right tab is pink. However, since many of our customers intentionally opt for "colorful tabs," we believe that, in this case, the benefits of 'saving' these tabs outweigh the drawbacks.
Effect of Color on Hardness and Melting Point
Experience shows that adding color to the base material of Wolf Busch® tabs slightly alters the hardness and melting point compared to the transparent base material without color additives. This means that a colored tab may feel slightly "softer" in processing and handling compared to a transparent tab, despite having the same hardness as the base material.
In general, this is not an issue; you just need to keep an eye on the temperature and rolling speed when welding the tabs to the base plate. Regarding durability and stability on the hoof, the color additive usually has no negative effects. However, as in all aspects of life, the saying applies: "Exceptions prove the rule."

Potential Flaws
We would like to use a few photos to show you the types of flaws that can result in a tab being classified as less than top-tier quality, yet still too good to be discarded. These images are provided as examples only, and the list is not exhaustive. Naturally, other minor defects may also qualify the tabs as 'factory seconds'.
Tabs may have small bubbles.
It is possible that excess adhesive may have leaked during the production process, which we then sanded off.
Tabs may show minor discoloration or appear 'dirty'.
