Double S Combi - Clench Cutter & Gauge in One Farrier Tool
The Combi Tool from Double S offers a particularly practical solution by combining two functions in one product.
It consists of a clench gouge, used for riveting during shoeing, and a clench cutter, which is used to open the rivets at the end of the shoeing period.
Made from high-quality materials, the Combi Tool features durable blades crafted from robust tool steel and an ergonomic wooden handle. It is available in both right-handed and left-handed versions.
Riveting – but do it right!
At this point, we'd like to briefly highlight the importance of proper riveting. Without precise riveting and fully sinking the nails into the naililng slot of the horseshoe, the shoes can easily twist or shift on the hoof.
After riveting, it’s essential to thoroughly smooth both the riveted nails and the hoof wall to reduce the risk of injury from protruding nails.
