Aluminum Rasp End Covers by Double «S» – Hand Protection for Farriers

When working with a hoof rasp, there are two effective ways to protect a farrier's hands from injuries caused by the sharp rasp teeth: either by wearing cut-resistant gloves or by using a rasp end cover.

Comparison of the standard and slightly wider eXceL versions of Double S rasp end covers, also known as hand protection for hoof rasps.

The rasp end covers from Double «S» are made from high-quality aluminum and stand out for their durability, low weight, and quick, easy installation – simply screw them onto the end of the hoof rasp.

In addition to protecting the farrier's hands, these rasp end covers also help protect the teeth of the hoof rasp when it is placed on the ground.

The Double «S» high-quality aluminum rasp end covers are available in two versions:

regular version for hoof rasps up to 45 mm width
eXceL version for hoof rasps up to 50 mm width

Choosing the Right Rasp End Cover for Your Hoof Rasp

The standard Double «S» rasp end cover – suitable for hoof rasps up to 45 mm width. This applies to most “standard” rasps, which typically range between 40 mm and 45 mm in width.

The Double «S» eXceL rasp end cover for hoof rasps up to 50 mm width – primarily designed for popular models such as the Heller eXceL rasps.

For extra wide hoof rasps such as the Bassoli 60 or The Beast by Save Edge®, these rasp end covers are not suitable. In this case, we recommend using Wonder Grip® cut-resistant gloves.
