When choosing the right nail cutter, there are some considerations: an appropriate nail cutter must be robust yet not too heavy. It must fit well in your hand and be durable. To meet your individual requirements, you can buy various nail cutters from us.
The nail cutter is used for pinching or pulling hoof nails. Some farriers also use it for riveting.
Our selection currently includes a nail cutter from Icar, Knipex, and Mustad.

The nail cutter from Icar comes with an integrated magnet. The nail cutter from Mustad and Knipex can be easily retrofitted with magnets.

Out Tip: Nail Cutter with Magnet
Buying a nail cutter with an integrated magnet or retrofitting your pliers with a magnet can be beneficial for several reasons:
- Safety and cleanliness in the stable, as loose metal objects can cause injuries and damage.
- Comfort and time-saving during shoeing, as the clipped-off hoof nails don't need to be collected after shoeing.
The Icar nail cutter already comes with an integrated disc magnet. If it ever gets lost, you can buy a suitable replacement disc magnet from us. The pliers available from Mustad and Knipex do not come with an integrated magnet, but they can be easily retrofitted with the help of a block magnet. Of course, the magnet can also be used for other nail cutters if you use a different model or brand than ICAR, Knipex, or Mustad, which we currently have in stock.
