Triple Stud Wrench – Three Wrench Sizes in One Tool
If you work with different horseshoe studs, you do not always need the same wrench size. With conventional horseshoes, this is usually not a problem. However, especially with the Duplo Jumper and Traction models, different wrench sizes may be required. For farriers, hoof care professionals and riders, this means having several suitable stud wrenches readily available.
Our triple stud wrench with 10mm, 12mm and 14mm wrench sizes offers a practical and affordable solution. The three permanently connected socket wrenches combine the required sizes in a single tool. Instead of carrying several individual stud wrenches or searching for the right one, simply turn the triple stud wrench and use the required wrench size.
Three Wrench Sizes – One Stud Wrench
The stud wrench has three arms, each fitted with a hex socket wrench:
- 10mm wrench size
- 12mm wrench size
- 14mm wrench size
This means that a single tool covers three of the wrench sizes used for studs in our range.
The Y-shaped design also provides a good grip when manually screwing studs in and out. As all three wrench sizes are permanently integrated, there are no loose inserts or bits that could get lost while working.
Why Are Different Wrench Sizes Needed?
The required wrench size does not depend solely on the stud's thread size. The stud model, its dimensions and the design of the stud head are also important factors.

Stud Installation on Our Alternative Horseshoes
Before Installation: Check the Stud Hole and Thread
Before screwing in a stud, the stud hole must be free of dirt and foreign objects. Only a clean thread allows the stud to be installed correctly.
When no studs are installed, we recommend sealing the stud holes with suitable blind plugs or stoppers. We also offer suitable stud hole cleaner bit inserts for cleaning the threads.
The triple stud wrench is designed for manually screwing suitable hexagonal studs in and out. It does not replace cleaning or checking the stud hole before installation.
Install Studs Safely
Selecting suitable studs, installing them correctly and checking them regularly during use are the responsibility of the horse owner in collaboration with the farrier or hoof care professional.
