PRE FIX – Pre-Fixation of a Glue-On Shoe in Just Five Seconds
The PRE FIX system, consisting of PRE FIX CA Glue and a special activator spray, was developed by glue-u to simplify and speed up the positioning of the GluShu on the hoof. This allows the GluShu to be quickly positioned so that the actual bonding process can then be completed with precision.
The PRE FIX CA Glue is applied to the GluShu, while the PRE FIX Activator is sprayed onto the bonding surface of the hoof. The glue should always be used in combination with the activator, because once both components come into contact, the glue-on horseshoe—such as the GluShu—is immediately pre-fixed.
The CA glue is not intended to hold the glue-on steel shoe in place permanently. The PRE FIX system is only meant to fix the shoe temporarily so the horse can put weight on the hoof again just a few seconds later. In the next step, the actual adhesive—such as SHUBOND—is applied.
