Artimud® Hoof Clay - Natural Care for Healthy Hooves
Red Horse® was founded in 2006 and has since focused on effective yet gentle hoof care products that support the body's own regeneration and promote healthy hoof tissue. The company deliberately avoids using corrosive ingredients and synthetic fillers commonly found in mass-produced formulas.
The first product formulas were developed out of necessity: Two horses were suffering from serious skin and hoof conditions, including thrush and White Line Disease , for which conventional treatments failed. Through collaboration between veterinarians, farriers, and beekeepers, a completely new product approach was born — laying the foundation for today's company.
The Importance of Healthy Hooves
Healthy hooves are the foundation of a sound, mobile, and content horse. Issues like cracks, defects in the white line, or thrush not only cause discomfort but can also lead to long-term damage to the entire musculoskeletal system. Regular, targeted antibacterial and antifungal hoof care is essential to prevent infections and support the hoof’s natural regeneration.
Benefits of Nature-Based Hoof Care Products
More and more horse owners are choosing natural ingredients — free from harsh chemicals , yet highly effective in supporting hoof health. Products like Artimud® Hoof Clay from Red Horse® rely on proven antibacterial and antifungal substances that protect the hoof gently and effectively. They help maintain a balanced hoof environment, prevent the invasion of harmful bacteria, and support the healing of common problem areas like cracks, the white line, or early-stage thrush.

Regular Use of Artimud® with Composite Horseshoes
